The name of Shaheed Major Durga Malla has been wrongly written in Shaheed Smarak, Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi( Fansi Ghar) and several NGOs, individuals etc tried their best for correction. Even this issue was raised by MP at Parliament and then Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit as well as Dedenfe Minister Shri Rajnath Singh promised for correction of Major Durga Malla in Shaheed Smarak however the Govt of India as well as Delhi Govt was not ready to get it correct. The settlor trustee of Hamro Swabhiman trust Adv Prem Chhetri promised on 25.08.2022 that He will get it corrected the name of Shaheed Major Durga Malla in Shaheed Smarak at Maulana Azad Medical College before next Balidan Diwas. He send legal notice on behalf of Hamro Swabhiman Trust on 22.10.2022 to Govt of India, Delhi Govt, MCD and Maulana Medical College. Immediately on 9.11.2022, Govt of Delhi directed Executive Engineer to correct. Vide Letter dated 5.12.2022, the Govt of Delhi informed Adv Prem Chhetri about the correction of name of Major Durga Malla in Shaheed Smarak.
